I'm Back!!!
Well I don’t quite know where to start!
This past year has involve a lot of ups and downs…and not just on the scales!
Mine and my partner’s mental health took a strong downturn over the past year and we are just finally getting through the darkness. He is managing on his meds and I am now also managing on mine. I had to take 5 months out from work (the main catalyst in my mental health deterioration).
Finally went back to work the beginning of July and now I’m in my 6th week of being back. Thankfully the issue that caused me to go off has been resolved.
Now to discuss how I’ve been on the scales, my highest weight loss total was 2st 11lbs on 21/03/2018. Since then my weigh has been yo-yoing with my current weight loss total at weigh in last night being 1st 9.5lbs.
Where I’ve lost weight and have felt more comfortable socialising with friends I have been going out a lot more, which has involved yummy syn-full food and very syn-full alcohol.
So I am currently struggling finding the right balance between having fun and also having too much fun.
I need to remember that I can have fun without having a beer and a burger when I’m down the pub with friends.
I have joined a new gym this month and that has renewed my enthusiasm for the gym which is great. Current workouts have been treadmill/resistance machines. I am hopefully going to start doing a few of their classes too as they have PowerWave (a class I used to really enjoy).
I am also dabbling with the idea of booking in with one of their personal trainers as I would like a more “results focussed” exercise routine, plus I love weightlifting and that could be added into the mix. I’m too nervous to stroll into the free-weights male dominated area at the moment, so having a personal trainer with me will help that.
Weight difference this week: +5.5lbs
This week’s workout music was: Maths + English by Dizzee Rascall
Length of time in the gym this week: 131 minutes
Goals for the week ahead:
Lose 2lbs (I grabbed a food diary from my SW consultant last night so that should help)
160 minutes in the gym
