June Monthly Round Up & IIFYM

So a total of ten workouts this month, not great, but I beat last month by two!
Total calories burned 3051, also beating last month.

I feel as though my weight loss endeavour will always be an uphill struggle, wrestling with social events and trying to be "on my best behaviour".  I just have to keep telling myself that the hard work I put in now will mean a much happier future.
I will be happier going out with friends as I won't be stressing about what to wear and always being the dumpy one in the photos.  I honestly cannot remember the last time I liked a full length photo of myself (hence just selfies on Instagram).

Total weight lost this year: 12 pounds.
I suppose I can hope that the slower it takes to come off the more likely I am to keep it off.

I have mostly kept to increasing my water intake and I haven't really gone off kilter with food intake so I am getting better, which is positive.

With regards to building the streak on myfitnesspal, as of today I am on day 19!
I bit the bullet and bought myfitnesspal premium as I can monitor my macros better, I'm loving it as it is also ad free (yaaaay!).

Now...onto "If It Fits Your Macros"
I honestly do not know how long this concept has been "a thing", but I have recently discovered it.
Light-bulb moment happened, I knew all calories weren't really equal but to see it so blatantly was great.  Also know I can work out how to properly nourish my body.

I went and found out my body fat percentage on the weighing machine in boots (NOT EMBARRASSING AT ALL), this I found out is required to calculate your macros if you are overweight so that you're given more accurate values.
For example, I was able to calculate without inputting my body fat but the values meant I would have been eating much more than when I added my BF%.
Thankfully I realised this before I started!

Macros calculated for me are:
181g Protein
99g Carbs
42g Fat
This works out to 1498 calories.

This is more than what I would have eaten on any other diet, which leads me to believe I have probably wrecked my metabolism.
Hopefully working with IIFYM I can get my metabolism back up to speed.

Goals for the month ahead:
1. Carry on concentrating on increasing water intake
2. Keep on with tracking faithfully - using IIFYM
3. Burn at least 3500 calories exercising
4. Lose 5 pounds
