Oh dear!
So much for
committing myself to post weekly!
It was “appraisal season” at work this month, which meant
that I was mega stressed.
So many different points to address I was left feeling like
I had to justify my existence in my post, especially when I know I am
performing well.
So glad to survive the process, it will be all good in the
end as the appraisal will stand me in good stead for when I apply in new roles
within my organisation. This progression
is something that I am hoping for in the coming year.
I have also learnt from my mistakes and will now be
completing a reflective journal at work to assist my next appraisal, as it
really is so hard to find examples on the spot of “going above and beyond” when
you do it on autopilot every day.
That aside this month has been fairly uneventful. I haven’t gone to the gym as often as I could
have and I stress-ate and drank more often than I should have.
Now is the time to put that behind me and crack on with the
task in hand.
I have started to listen to my hypnotherapy app I downloaded
a while ago (VGB Hypnosis). Hopefully it
will help me on my way, it is certainly helping me sleep better at night.
I’m going back to the gym as well, I had a good run of going
regularly and then I fell right off the wagon.
Starting yesterday I got my butt back to the gym, I went to
the gym with my mum (she’s my good buddy to keep me motivated). I managed to squeeze onto a PowerWave class,
which was a pleasant surprise as it gave me the oomphf I required, managed to
burn 400 calories in less than an hour!
In the class I used a 3kg, but next class I'll go up to 5kg.
My aim is to be getting to the gym 3-5 times a week
(schedule depending); I will be going to 3 PowerWave classes a week and then
hopefully squeezing in a couple of extra workouts.
As I wear my heart rate monitor I am going to carry on
posting my workout performance on instagram.
