New Tactic...
I restarted slimming world on 01/05/2019 and as it stands on 12/06/2019 i am heavier than my starting weight. I enjoyed myself waaaaaay too much at a one day festival that carried through all week and I majorly ruined my weight loss efforts.
Feeling a bit down in the dumps about it and still struggling to stay on plan I decided to carry on with slimming world, as in still weigh in at group, but try a different diet for two weeks to give me a weight loss and confidence boost.
I started on 09/06/2019 loosely following the Fast800 diet created my Dr Michael Moseley.
The main concept that I have gleamed from the website is that the max calories that you eat are 800, and you also have to fast for up to 16 hours a day. That means the "eating window" is 8 hours a day.
To track my calories I have been using MyFitnessPal.
Day one - 09/06/2019 - calorie total: 824
Surprisingly did not feel hungry this day, which I expected to, considering it was day one.
I ate a chicken Subway Salad and the "small" southern fried chicken strips with chips from Wetherspoons.
I seriously should not have had the fried chicken, but it came roughly within my calorie goal for the day so I exploited my new found calorie counting freedom.
Day two - 10/06/2019 - calorie total: 741
I have also started this two week diet being on two weeks annual leave, which is making this plan much easier to follow as I don't have my normal routine to follow.
This day I was hungry around 11am, when I couldn't eat, but I wasn't starving. Then when the time came that I could eat, my hunger had passed, so I ended up sticking it out until dinner and having a bigger dinner than originally planned.
I had two beef burgers, chestnut mushrooms, onions, and avocado - DELISH!
Also rounded the day off with a Halo Top ice cream bar.
Day three - 11/06/2019 - calorie total: 680
The calories for this day were perhaps too low, but I just wasn't hungry for anything else!
Lunch was chicken thighs (skin removed) with peppers roasted in the oven with a bit of paprika, and that kept me feeling full until dinner.
For dinner I had Heck chicken Italia sausages with a green salad.
Day again rounded off with a Halo Top ice cream bar.
My thoughts so far after being on this plan for three days:
I have found it manageable, I haven't been starving hungry, and it has also made me consider if food is worth having when the calorie allowance for the day is small.
I have been trying to concentrate of having mainly protein and veg as I haven't exercised yet on the plan and my daily activity is not much at the moment I don't see much need for lots of carbs.
I do intend to carry on with the plan for the full two weeks, I have potentially a boozy Saturday on 15/06/2019 which will be off plan. I will endeavour to get straight back on plan the day after.
Tonight is my first weigh in so we will see what effects this plan has taken on my body in three/four days!
